Which TRE STARSHearingAid™ Economic Series hearing aid should I buy (VENUS or HERMES)?
The HERMES hearing aid is our TRE STARSHearingAid Economic Series FLAGSHIP hearing aid, and without fail, it is the one we recommend for most people. It is a professional Behind The Ear model with superior componentry, sound quality, fit, and comfort. It provides up to 45dB of gain and is the best choice for mild, moderate, or moderately-severe hearing loss. It has a 2-channel tone control switch to decrease background noise, an omnidirectional microphone, and is aesthetically discreet and similar to behind the ear hearing aids costing hundreds of euros more. The HERMES has been extensively tested and recommended by physicians and audiologists and is our best-selling model. The TRE STARSHearingAid™ VENUS hearing aid is a basic hearing aid designed for those patients that need general amplification. It is larger in size and has a visible button receiver in the ear. We generally only recommend the VENUS for those under the care of others, nursing home residents, and those needing a larger hearing aid due to limited use of their hands due to aging or arthritis.
How will I know if the TRE STARSHearingAid™ Economic Series of hearing aids will work for me?
Every person’s hearing loss will be different as is every person’s ability to rehabilitate their hearing loss with hearing aids. Your satisfaction with hearing aids depends on the type and degree of your hearing loss and your expectations. No hearing aid (even the most expensive ones) can restore normal hearing, and not everyone will benefit equally.
If you have had a hearing test in the past, you may email it to us at hearingaidsgr@gmail.com so we can guide you if our hearing aids will be a reasonable choice. The only way to know how you will benefit will be to try them risk-free. Your satisfaction is guaranteed (see below). The vast majority of our customers are satisfied with the TRE STARSHearingAid™ Economic Series of hearing aids and the return rate has been less than 10%.
Should I buy 1 or 2 hearing aids?
We have 2 ears for a reason. The brain processes hearing signals from both ears for improved clarity and a more balanced sound. You will be able to hear much better with 2 hearing aids, and your satisfaction with the hearing aids will be much higher. If you use only 1 hearing aid but have hearing loss in both ears, the brain has to process 2 different sound and clarity levels, which makes it more difficult to obtain a clear understanding of the sound signal. Also, there is a significant cost savings if you purchase 2 hearing aids at one time as opposed to buying them separately.
What do you mean by “One-Size-Fits-Most”?
The TRE STARSHearingAid™ hearing aids come with various sizes of clear ear domes / tips that connect the hearing aid to your ear. These are designed to fit most adult ears.
Will my TRE STARSHearingAid™ Economic Series hearing aid cure the ringing in my ears?
The TRE STARSHearingAid™ Economic Series will not cure the ringing in your ears, but the ringing may become less noticeable when you are using the hearing aid.
What if my TRE STARSHearingAid™ doesn’t fit my ear well?
If a more precise fit is desired or required, the TRE STARSHearingAid™ HERMES can be fitted with a custom ear mold to the exact specifications of your ear. A custom mold can be obtained from an online store or from a local audiologist / hearing aid dispenser. Please note that the TRE STARSHearingAid™ VENUS cannot be custom fit. You may need the results of an audiogram performed within the past 6 months by a licensed audiologist or a licensed hearing instrument dispenser.
What is the warranty?
The TRE STARSHearingAid™ is covered against defects in materials and workmanship depending on the Series Class. Economic Series has warranty for 90 days from the time you receive your order. If at our examination it is determined that the unit failed to work due to parts, materials or workmanship we will repair or replace it for free.
What is the return policy?
Your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you are not satisfied with your TRE STARSHearingAid, you have 45 days from the date of purchase to return it. The reason for this long trial period is that it often takes several weeks to get used to new hearing aids (even ones costing thousands of euros!). For the Economic Series, if after trying them for 21 days you don't feel that the TRE STARSHearingAids™ are the best hearing aids under €150, you may return them. You will receive a FULL REFUND of the purchase price. Return requests prior to trying the hearing aids for 21 days will incur a ten percent restocking fee. You will need a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number prior to returning any products. Email hearingaidsgr@gmail.com for details.
Is there a User Manual?
A copy of the User Manual comes with all hearing aids.
Can the TRE STARSHearingAids be repaired after the warranty?
Of course. For the Economic Series, following the 90-day warranty period, your hearing aid can be sent in for repair. Contact Customer Service at hearingaidsgr@gmail.com
Do I need a prescription or medical evaluation before buying a TRE STARSHearingAid™?
In accordance with good health practice, TRE STARSHearingAid and the FDA recommend that a person with hearing loss have a medical evaluation by a licensed physician (preferably a physician who specializes in diseases of the ear) before purchasing any hearing aid. If you have or think you may have any of the following conditions you should consult a doctor prior to purchase:
· Visible deformity of the ear
· Fluid or drainage from the ear within the past 90 days
· Sudden, rapidly progressing, or fluctuating hearing loss
· Spells of acute or chronic dizziness
· Hearing loss only on one side that worsened in the past 90 days
· Ear canal blockage, a lasting ear infection or a plugged up fullness feeling
· Excessive wax buildup, or a history of excessive wax buildup
· Pain or discomfort in the ear
· Ringing in one or both ears within last 90 days
Can I really buy a hearing aid over the internet?
Absolutely. Over the last 2 years we have served more than 1,000 satisfied customers in all over the world by mail, and we have now extended our service over the internet. However, some manufacturers have recently initiated fitting guidelines requiring face to face fitting in order to purchase their particular products. We have identified these products and we offer you the best solutions without the need of buying particular products.

From which styles of hearing aids to choose?
- A Custom C.I.C. aid is made to the exact size and shape of a person' s ear. This aid is the smallest size available from any manufacturer and is worn deep in the ear. We also offer a ready-to-wear stock C.I.C. hearing aid.
- A Custom Canal Hearing Aid is made to the exact size and shape of a person's ear. Lloyds also carries less expensive stock (ready-to-wear) mini-canal hearing aids. This size aid is small with a faceplate about the size of a dime.
- A Custom Half-Shell hearing aid is made to the exact size and shape of a person's ear. This size aid is 'medium' in terms of sizes of In-The-Ear hearing aids. This size aid is a lesser cost than the smaller custom In-The-Ear aids.
- This size aid is the largest size of Custom-built In-The-Ear hearing aids. With the larger size comes a lesser cost. The Full-Shell hearing aid has the widest fitting range of any of the In-The-Ear styles of hearing aids.
- Behind-The-Ear (BTE) hearing aids provide excellent sound quality and performance.. Contrary to much public perception, they are not just for people with severe hearing losses. BTE aids can fit the widest range of hearing losses.
- Body-style hearing aids are used if a person has a very severe-to-profound degree of hearing loss, it may be the only instrument they can wear that will give them the high output needed to stay connected to the world.
Yes, you can order any of our products from anywhere in the world and for shipment to anywhere in the world. The only limitation is that payment is required in full prior to shipment, and all payments must be in EURO currency. We accept international money orders, Western Union (on a case by case basis only...this method is not preferred), PayPal and account deposits. We would also like to have a copy of an audiogram if possible, so that we can be sure (1) that the product ordered will be correct for that particular hearing loss, and (2) for programming when needed.
Our standard shipping fee for Postal Service Global Express Mail is €25 to any country in the world. We also offer DHL International, which is a faster and more secure method. Shipping cost for this method varies by country. Please note that delivery times also vary by country, and can take anywhere from a week to two weeks. Some countries impose an import fee on packages coming in, and this is the responsibility of the receiver. We do not pay for customs taxes.
If you are from a German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Greek, Serbian, Bulgarian, Macedonian-speaking country, please let us know if you will require an instruction booklet in your language. As manufacturers of our hearing aids we support these languages for the time being and have manuals that can be sent with the hearing aid.
